Govt considering strict restrictions from next week

Coronavirus infection is on the rise in the country. The government is considering strict restrictions again from next week to curb the highly contaminated Omicron infection.

Since the beginning of January daily Covid-19 infection rate was 2% which is now around 6%. Even then people are paying less attention to Corona. Most do not have a face mask, neglected physical distance. Covid-19 fear has decreased among the common people. Observing the situation, various instructions are coming from the government regarding health rules.

Earlier, Health Minister Zahid Maleque had said that restrictions on the movement of people would be imposed again as the corona infection had increased in the country. Lockdown may also be imposed.

The health minister said, "I have made a request to the home minister, DCs and SPs. When they receive these instructions, they can implement them quickly. 15 days have been given for speedy implementation of imposing restrict. But I have offered to implement it in 7 days.

Meanwhile, the National Technical Advisory Committee on Corona has recommended four points, including banning political, social and religious gatherings.

The government has already announced various programs to control the infection, a press release said on Friday. The National Technical Advisory Committee has emphasized on the implementation of that program. If necessary, the committee recommends legal measures such as mobile courts to ensure implementation of the program.

The National Technical Advisory Committee for Covid-19 has recommended 4 rules-

1. Strictly implement health guidelines; engage law enforcement agencies, including operating mobile court drives, if necessary.

2. Bring all the students under the vaccination programme.

3. Ensure screening at all entry points, and ensuring quarantine and isolation.

4. Prepare adequate general beds and ICU facilities in all Covid-19 designated hospitals and ample oxygen supplies.

If necessary, the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 has recommended the operation of a mobile court.

A separate press release said that corona infections are increasing at an alarming rate around the world, including in neighboring India. Infection is also on the rise in our country. The infection is expected to increase further. The government has already announced various programs to control the infection. The National Technical Advisory Committee for Covid-19 has emphasized the implementation of these programs. If necessary, the committee suggested legal measures such as mobile courts to ensure implementation of the program.

It also said that all measures should be taken to ensure 100% proper wearing of masks, keeping hands clean, and ensuring social distance. The handwashing system should be arranged again in different places. In order to ensure social distance, all social such as wedding ceremonies, fairs, religious such as waz mahfil, and political gatherings should be stopped at this time.
