The night temperature in the country is likely to rise by (1-2)°C while the day temperature is also likely to rise “slightly” over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in a weather bulletin on Friday.

The weather bulletin signed by Meteorologist Md. Abdul Hamid Mia, deputy director of BMD, states that the weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Besides, “moderate to thick fog” may occur at places over the north-western part of the country and “light to moderate fog” may occur elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning.

Meteorologist Md. Abdul Hamid Mia said a ridge of Sub-continental high has extended up to Bihar and adjoining areas. As a result, the seasonal low is being lied over South Bay, extending its trough to Northeast Bay.

Meanwhile, the country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 29.6 degree Celsius yesterday at Teknaf in the Chattogram division while today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 9.8 degree Celsius at Tetulia in the Rangpur division.

Today’s sunset will be at 5:26 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 6:43 am.
