Dengue patients increased outside Dhaka in 24hrs

Nine more people were hospitalized in the country’s hospitals in the last 24 hours after being infected with dengue fever. Among these, three people were hospitalized in Dhaka’s different hospitals and six outside Dhaka.
The information was obtained in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday.
According to the Control Room, 52 people are currently hospitalized after being contracted dengue in various government and private hospitals in the country. Among these, 30 are admitted in 47 hospitals in Dhaka and 22 are admitted in other divisions.
So far this year (January 1 to January 3 at 8 am), 61 people have been admitted to the hospitals with dengue. Nine of them have left hospitals after recovery. No one has died of dengue this year, the Control Room said.
Earlier, the DGHS said in a statement on Wednesday that four more people had been hospitalized with dengue in the last 24 hours (January 4 at 8 am to January 5 at 8 am), bringing the total number of patients admitted to the various hospitals in the country to 48.
The DGHS’s dengue statement further said that among the new patients, two were in Dhaka and two were outside Dhaka.
