Cold wave sweeping over 6 dists, may continue

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted that a mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Pabna, Naogaon and Chudanga and it may continue.
The met office also forecasted dry weather with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places over northwestern part of the country," said a met office release today.
Night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the release said.
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded by 28.8 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded by 9.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 5:25 pm today and rises at 6:42 am tomorrow in the capital.
