DMP instructions on traffic on 31st Night

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has beefed up security in the capital ahead of the 31st Night and English New Year celebrations. Traffic will be restricted on different roads in the capital on this night.
This information was given in a press release signed by DMP Commissioner Moha. Shafiqul Islam in a press release on Thursday.
The traffic control guidelines are –
1. Kamal Ataturk Avenue (Kakli Crossing) and Mohakhali Amtali Crossing can be used for vehicular access to Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara areas from 8 pm on December 31 to 5 am tomorrow.
2. To enter Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara areas from 8 pm - Tejgaon Industrial Area-Phoenix Road Crossing, Banani 11th Road Crossing, Chairman Bari Crossing, Dhaka Gate, Shooting Club, Badda Link Road, DOHS Baridhara-United Hospital Crossing and Notun Bazar Crossings cannot be used for entry. However, these crossings can be used to get out of these areas.
3. In case of entering the Dhaka University area from 6 pm on December 31 to 5 am tomorrow - any person/vehicle other than the teachers-students, officers-employees of the university can enter only through the South Gate-Palashi Intersection of the old High Court-Doyel Chattar-Shaheed Minar-Jagannath Hall. All other crossings will be closed for entry into that area.
4. From 8 pm, no vehicles will enter through Shahbagh, Nilkhet Crossing, Doyel Chattar Crossing, Bakshibazar Crossing, Palashi Crossing and Chankharpul/ Shahidullah Hall Crossing.
Legal action will be taken against those who drive recklessly, drunk and in dangerous conditions.
