Murad makes ‘mistake’ in resignation letter, asked to submit hard copy

State Minister for Information Dr. Murad Hasan has resigned from the Cabinet and sent his resignation letter to his ministry. However, The Cabinet Division did not accept his resignation letter as there was a ‘big mistake’ and it was sent by e-mail.  

It is learned that the Cabinet Division has sought a “hard copy” of the resignation letter by correcting the “big mistake” in the resignation letter.

Mistake in Murad’s resignation letter —

Murad’s resignation letter mentioned that Dr. Murad Hasan was given the duty of State Minister for Information of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh by Cabinet Division on “May 19, 2021”. However, the exact date is “May 19, 2019” - which the Cabinet Division has asked to amend.

Mistake in Murad’s resignation letter 

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murad Hasan has said that he is “willing to resign” from Tuesday for “personal reasons”. 

In the resignation letter, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murad Hasan saluted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

It has been requested to accept the resignation letter.
