Female doctor murder: Alleged husband gives confessional statement

In the case of killing female doctor Jannatul Naeem Siddiqui by slit-throat, main accused Md. Rezaul Karim Reza gave a confessional statement in court.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam recorded his statement on Saturday.
On this day, the police produced him in court. At this time the accused voluntarily agreed to give a confessional statement. Then the investigating officer of the case appealed to record the statement of the accused under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code. In view of the petition, the court recorded his statement. The judge then ordered to send Reza to prison.
Earlier, RAB arrested Reza from Chattogram on the night of August 11.
According to the source of the case, Jannatul Naeem Siddiqui, who has just passed MBBS, went to a residential hotel called Family Service Apartment in Panthapath with the accused named Rezaul Karim Reza. After that, Rezaul, the alleged boyfriend who was identified as her husband, slit her throat and ran away.
Jannatul’s body was recovered by the police around 9:30 pm on August 10. Shafiqul Alam, father of the victim, filed a case with Kalabagan police station as the plaintiff.
Noted that Jannatul passed MBBS and was studying a course on women and gynecology at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
