A Dhaka court on Wednesday set September 20 for hearing on charge framing against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in 11 cases filed on charges of sabotage and sedition.
Today was fixed for hearing but Judge KM Emrul Qayesh of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court, set up inside Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj, reset the date.
During BNP's strike in early 2015, police filed eight cases with Darus Salam police station and two cases with Jatrabari police station while a person filed the sedition case.
Later in 2016, police submitted a charge sheet against Khaleda Zia and others accused.
Along with Khaleda Zia, the notable accused in these cases are BNP leaders Amanullah Aman, Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohail, and Sultan Salauddin Tuku.
