Court directs to investigate allegation of Murad`s wife

A Dhaka court today directed to investigate the general diary (GD) against Former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murad Hasan, filed by his wife Dr. Jahanara Ehsan.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order on Sunday.
Earlier on Saturday, investigating officer Sub-Inspector Rajib Hasan sent an application to the court for permission to investigate the GD. The court granted the application and directed to inquire the GD.
On January 6, Dr. Murad's wife Dr. Jahanara Ehsan called the National Emergency Service '999' and asked for help to police.
Murad Hasan left the house before Dhanmondi police reached the spot. Jahanara Ehsan filed a general diary (GD) against her husband that afternoon.
Dr. Jahanara Ehsan mentioned, "I married to Murad Hasan 19 years back. In married life, we have a son and a daughter in our family. The defendant is my husband. He is a Member of Parliament from the current government and a former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
In recent times, he (Dr. Murad) has been mentally abusing me and my children with vulgar language and threatening to kill me. He left the house when the police arrived at the house after I called 999 at around 3:15 pm on Thursday.
She mentioned in the GD that she was suffering from insecurity.
