Anti-government armed rebels have fired rockets at an army bus in Syria’s northwestern province, killing 10 army personnel and injuring nine more people.
Syrian army spokesman Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP the bus had been attacked in the Anjara area of Aleppo. All the passengers of the bus left for their homes.
Although no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a hardline Islamist group in Syria and the largest armed group in Aleppo, has released photos and videos of the burning bus.
A Syrian army official said the dead were Shiites and their homes were in the cities of Nubl and al-Zahraa.
