The US daily Washington Times has described the joint naval operation between Iran, Russia and China as a "strong message" for the United States.
The daily writes in an analysis on Saturday that several anti-US countries have demonstrated their military strength through this exercise.
Iran, Russia and China held their second joint military exercise in the northern part of the Indian Ocean on Friday. The exercise, dubbed the 2022 Marine Security Belt, involved the rescue of gunboats and hijacked warships, the firing and shelling of specific targets, and the shooting down of targets in the sky at night.
Eleven units of the Iranian navy, three units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), three units of the Russian navy and two units of the Chinese navy took part in the exercise.
One of the objectives of the joint naval exercise was to strengthen security on international maritime trade routes, counter piracy and maritime terrorism, exchange information on rescue operations at sea and exchange tactical and operational experience.
