Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez has been attacked by COVID for the second time. He confirmed the news in a tweet on Monday local time and said that his symptoms were mild.
Andres wrote on Twitter, 'I am again infected with Covid-19. However, the symptoms are mild. I will live in isolation and do virtual office.'
Until he recovers, Interior Minister Adan Augusto Lopez will continue to hold regular morning press briefings and other public events, the president said.
President Andres recovered from COVID in early 2021. On December 7, he received a booster dose. Earlier, he was vaccinated against AstraZeneca.
Note that like many other countries in the world, a new wave of COVID is hitting Mexico. However, the number of daily deaths has decreased compared to the previous wave.
