Weekend box office: ‘Hawa’ tops ‘Thor’, ‘Din–The Day’

Other movies have flopped due to the movie ‘Hawa’
Joy Cinemas, a movie theatre located in Keraniganj in the capital, released the movie ‘Hawa’ directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon on Friday (July 29). Besides, the Hollywood movie ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ and Ananta Jalil’s ‘Din–The Day’ have flopped due to the movie ‘Hawa’, as a result, the two movies have been screened down.
Joy Cinemas authorities confirmed the information in a press release on Sunday (July 31).
“We have extended 3 special shows for ‘Hawa’ movie in our 3D hall due to overcrowding. For this, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ and ‘Din–The Day’ movies will not be played for now. The Thor movie will remain closed until further notice,” the press release said.
The movie ‘Hawa’ directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon was released on July 29. The movie has sold out advance tickets till August 4 in many multiplexes. Star Cineplex has 26 shows running daily in 5 branches.
‘Hawa’ starred Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, Sariful Razz, Suman Anwar, Sohail Mondal, Nasir Uddin Khan, Mahmud Alam, Bablu Bose and many others.
