Now Pori Moni to fight for Kanchan-Nipun panel in artistes polls

After announcing her pregnancy and marriage with actor Sariful Razz, now popular Dhaka film actress Pori Moni has announced to contest in an election.

The election of 2022-23 term of Bangladesh Film Artistes Association, a body of silver screen actors, is going to be held on January 28. It is learned that Pori Moni is going to be the candidate for the post of executive member from the Kanchan-Nipun panel.

Meanwhile, an active candidate of the Kanchan-Nipun panel has confirmed to the media that the nomination papers have been collected for Pori Moni.

With this election looming, Kanchan-Nipun along with other members of the panel collected nomination papers on Tuesday (January 11). At that time, nomination papers were also collected for Pori Moni. 

A source close to the Kanchan-Nipun panel also confrimed that “Pori Moni had signed her nomination paper yesterday”.

Shakil Khan, Riaz, Ferdous, Symon, Emon, Nirab and a few other star actors from the Kanchan-Nipun panel are also expected to take part in the election of this year’s Bangladesh Film Artistes Association. However, it has not been officially announced yet.

Pori Moni is always by the side of the various problems of film artists. During Eid-puja, she has been seen celebrating festivals with artists with various gifts and financial support. The ‘Swapnajaal’ star has also garnered a lot of praise for her cow sacrifices at FDC over the last few years. Now, there is joy among the filmmakers when they hear that Pori Moni is going to take part in the election.

Noted that Pori Moni is now in the news of getting married and having a child. The actress got married to her dream prince Sariful Razz on October 17 last year.
