Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has called a special press conference to inform about the start of SSC and equivalent exams delayed due to floods.
Mohammad Abul Khair, information and public relations officer of the Ministry of Education, told the media on Thursday.
He said the minister would hold a press conference at 1pm on Sunday where she will talk about SSC and equivalent examinations.
The SSC and equivalent written exams were scheduled to begin on June 19 and end on July 6. However, due to severe floods in Sylhet region and some northern districts in mid-June, the SSC examinations were postponed on June 17.
This time more than 20 lakh students across the country will take part in SSC and equivalent examinations, but books of many students have been damaged in the flood affected area.
The Education Minister said “the new books will be delivered to them” and then the examination will be organized.
