Barishal University clash leaves 6 injured

Six people were injured in a clash between two groups of students at Barishal University (BU) around 1.30 pm on Wednesday.

University Proctor Khurshid Alam told the media that two groups of students had a fight at midnight. After receiving the news, they have been asked to remain calm at night. Authorities will sit with both sides today. Hopefully, the problem will be resolved.

It is learned that Raidul Islam Nirab, a master's student of Barishal University, was beaten by the locals in the area of ​​College Avenue in the city on Tuesday. In protest, hundreds of university students blocked the Dhaka-Kuakata road for some time before dusk. Upon receiving the news, the university administration reassured the students and removed them from the road.

Meanwhile, a dispute erupted between Amit Hasan Raktim and Ahmed Sifat's group when they came to the university campus. A total of six people were injured in the clashes between the two groups. The injured were taken to a local hospital, university authorities said.
