DU admission test begins June 3

The admission test of Dhaka University (DU) is starting next Friday (June 3). On this day, in the 2021-22 academic year, the admission test of the ‘Ga’ unit of the Faculty of Business Education for the honors first-year students will be held.

The admission test will be held simultaneously from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the university campus and in the public universities of seven divisions across the country.

This year, 2,90,348 students have applied for the DU admission test. The total number of seats is 6,035. As such, about 46 candidates will contest for each seat. 

This time, 1,15,710 students have applied for 1,851 751 seats in the “Ka” unit of DU and 56,551 students have applied for 1,788 seats in the “Kha” unit. Besides, 30,693 students have applied for 930 seats in the “Ga” unit while 78,029 students have applied for 1,336 in the “Gha” unit and 7,357 students have applied for 130 seats in the “Cha” unit.

According to the decision of the admission committee of DU, this year’s admission test will start on June 3 (Friday) through the admission test of the “Ga” unit. Besides, admission tests for the “Kha” unit will be held on June 4 (Saturday), the “Ka” unit on June 10 (Friday), and the “Gha” unit will be on June 11 (Saturday) from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Besides, the admission test for the “Cha” unit will be held on June 12 from 11 am to 11:30 am. 

On this occasion, all kinds of preparations have been completed, said Md. Mostafizur Rahman, convener of the online admission committee of Dhaka University and a professor of Computer Science and Engineering.

He said overall preparations have been completed. The seating arrangement will be revealed today. The question paper is probably ready to be sent to the center.

DU Proctor Golam Rabbani said it was a national test. Thousands of students will take part in the test. We request cooperation in the way the test has been conducted over the years. Besides, we will work in collaboration with the proctorial body and security forces of the university for the safety of the students.
