Dhaka College students banned from unnecessary movement in uniforms

Dhaka College’s eleventh-grade and twelve-grade students have been banned from unnecessary movement, position and chatting in the surrounding areas in college uniforms. Besides, they have been instructed not to behave in a chaotic manner including eve-teasing while coming and going on the college bus.
These instructions were given in a circular signed by the acting principal of Dhaka College Moinul Hossain on Monday.
According to the circular, it has been strictly prohibited for students of class XI (Session 2021-22) and Class XII (Session 2020-21) of Dhaka College to take positions or chat in the area adjacent to City College-Ideal College as well as in New Market and Nilkhet area before the commencement of classes, during the class and after the class-end with college uniform.
Besides, college buses were instructed to refrain from causing any kind of disturbance, including eve-teasing.
College authorities will take disciplinary action against any student who engages in any activity that violates law and order, and if law enforcement agencies take strict action, the college authorities “will not be liable in any way”.
Noted that, on April 17 at around 12 pm, a clash between the students of Dhaka College and the traders and shop workers of New Market started. The clash lasted for about two and a half hours. After that, the situation came under control at night but after the next day, the clashes started again which lasted until evening.
More than 50 people from both sides were injured and are being treated at the hospital. Some of them were in critical condition. A courier official named Nahid Hasan died at the hospital after being seriously injured in the clash. Another man, Morsalin, was killed in the incident.
