The main gate of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has opened after 11 consecutive days. Students will continue their movement demanding the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor by lifting blockades from now on.

The main gate of the university, administrative building, academic building and everything was opened on Thursday morning, said activist student Muhaiminul Basar Raj.

Earlier on Wednesday (January 26), Rosario, a student who was protesting at a press conference, said, 'We will continue our protest we ended the hunger strike.'

He said the main gate of the university, academic building, administrative building will be opened. We do not want any violent movement. So this step has been taken.

Rosario said the students withdrew from hunger strike at the request of Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Sir and Yasmin Haque madam after they went on a hunger strike demanding the resignation of Vice Chancellor Farid Uddin Ahmed. However, the movement will continue till the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor.

He said the students raised five demands through Sir. The demands include granting bail to five former students arrested for funding the student movement, withdrawing lawsuits filed against anonymous students, bearing medical expenses of students on hunger strike and taking responsibility for the treatment of seriously injured students in the infernal police attack with the help of VC.
