‘No chance of question leak, action if rumors are spread’

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni today said the measures that have been taken for HSC and equivalent examinations - there is no chance of leaking question papers. Exemplary punishment would be given if rumors are spread about this.

He said this in response to different queries while visiting inspecting the HSC examination center at Government Suhrawardy College in the capital on Thursday morning.

Education Minister said strict action would be taken against anyone who tried to spread rumors about question papers leaking or was involved in any immoral activities related to the question papers. “Once identified, they will be brought under the law.”

Dr. Dipu Moni said not only the exams but also our country needs to be freed from the fears of “Omicron” that have arisen all over the world. So everyone including students and parents has to follow the hygiene rules.

Education Minister further said that the students have entered the examination center following proper hygiene rules. Guardians who are waiting for the safety of their children are advised not to crowd, but also to adhere to social distances.

Asked if Omicron would have an impact on students in the new academic year from January next year, Dr. Dipu Moni said, “We have kept the school closed for the last one and a half years as per the advice of the advisory committee. I have taken advice, this advice will be taken in future also.” 

Dr. Dipu Moni said plans were made to increase the number of classes in educational institutions in the new year which can be considered at specific times. Besides, if all goes well, the results of the HSC and equivalent examinations will be released within 30 days.

Regarding the HSC candidates’ Covid-19 vaccine, the Education Minister said that among these candidates, those who have been vaccinated with the first dose, those who have been vaccinated for the second dose and those who have not been vaccinated will be vaccinated at the earliest after the examination.
