Banks, stock markets reopen

The government offices, banks, insurance, stock markets and other financial institutions reopened on Thursday after the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation.
Banking transactions will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on today. However, the office will be open till 6:00 pm to conduct ancillary activities of the bank.
Besides, trading in the stock market will continue from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm today. The schedule of trading in the stock market was from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm during Ramadan.
Earlier, people were allowed to conduct banking transactions from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm during the month of Ramadan, as per a circular issued by Bangladesh Bank.
