Motorcycle rider dies after being hit by lorry

A motorcycle rider named Asim Chandra was killed by an oil lorry in Bhola.

Another youth named Sabbir was seriously injured in this incident. He was shifted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla(Shebachim) Medical for advanced treatment. 

The incident took place at a place called Bhola Sader Upazilla Taltali around 9 pm on 9 pm on Tuesday.

The deceased Sohel Sadar is a resident of Dakshin Ratanpur village of Shibpur UP. He was a carpenter by profession.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhola Sadar Model Police Station Enayet Hossain said that Sohail and Sabbir were going to Banglabazar from Bhola by motorcycle. On the way, reaching a place called Taltali, an oil lorry hit the motorcycle from behind. Both of them were seriously injured.

Later the locals rescued them and took them to Bhola Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared Sohail dead. Injured Sabbir was sent to Barisal Sherebangla Hospital for better treatment.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) also said that no complaint was made by the family of the deceased in this incident.

As a result, the body was handed over to the family without post-mortem. The driver of the oil lorry is in police custody.
