To save energy, experimental one-hour area-based load-shedding started in different districts of the country from Tuesday. However, there will be “no” load-shedding in “eight southern districts” as there is no shortage of electricity. Payra Power Plant is supplying electricity to these districts.

This schedule of load shedding was published by West Zone Power Distribution Company Limited (WZPDCL) today, Wednesday (July 20).

The eight districts exempted from load-shedding are -- Barishal, Patuakhali, Bhola, Jhalokati, Barguna, Gopalganj, Shariatpur and Madaripur.

Information on 13 districts including Khulna has been given in that schedule.
