17 sued for killing BCL leader Faisal

Murdered BCL leader Faisal Uddin

A case has been filed against 17 people for killing BCL leader Faisal Uddin at Khurushkul in Cox's Bazar.

Nasir Uddin, elder brother of the deceased, filed the case with Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station around 11pm on Tuesday. 

Local Aziz Sikder has been made the main accused in the case. Meanwhile, Rapid Action Batalion (RAB) arrested him as a suspect. However, he has not been handed over to the police station yet.

On the same night, Sadar police arrested six others and handed over them to the court on Tuesday and the judge ordered them to be sent to jail.

Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station OC (investigation) Selim Uddin said six of them have been arrested in the case. The operation is underway to arrest the rest of the accused in the case.

BCL leader Faisal Uddin was hacked to death on July 3 at around 7pm on his way back from the ward Awami League conference in Dalpara area of ​​Khurushkul UP.
