Dinajpur road crash: Now child Saiful dies

Saiful Islam Nasrullah, one and a half years old, died after his mother and sister were hit by an oil-laden lorry in Dinajpur. He succumbed at Dijanpur M. Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier, the child’s mother Fahima Aktar and sister Beauty were killed when an oil-laden lorry hit them in front of the hospital at around 5 am. His father Mohammad Hossain, who was injured in the accident, has been admitted to the hospital.

The injured Mohammad Hossain, a resident of Panchtikari village in Bholahat upazila of Chapainawabganj district, is the headmaster of Teghra Darul Hadith Salafiyah Madrasa in Biral upazila of the district.  

Hossain’s brother Mohammad Hassan said Nasrullah died when the bodies of his sister-in-law and his niece were taken to the ambulance at noon, his brother is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Kotwali Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Asaduzzaman Asad said Mohammad Hossain was going to Chapainawabganj from Dinajpur on a motorcycle with his wife, son and daughter in the morning. On the way, an oil-laden lorry the motorcycle from behind when it reached in front of Dijanpur M. Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital. His wife and daughter died on the spot. Hossain and his son were injured. 

Upon receiving the news, the police and fire service personnel went to the spot, recovered the bodies of the deceased and sent them to the morgue of the hospital and admitted the father and son to the hospital. The boy died at noon. The bodies of the three have been handed over to the family. A UD case has been registered in this incident, he added.
