Transgender person found dead in house

The body of a transgender person named Mukul has been recovered in Shibganj Upazila of Bogura. He has injury marks on his neck.
Police recovered Mukul's body from his rented house behind Sakhawat Mansion Market in Mahasthangarh area of the Upazila around 9:00 pm on Saturday and took it into custody.
Mukul, 26, was a son of Abdus Sattar of Dhapshikata village in Kalai upazila of Joypurhat. He used to work as a cook in various hotels in Mahasthangarh area of Shibganj Upazila. Mukul had been living in Mahasthangarh area for about five years.
It has been reported that another cook named Yunus went to Mukul's rented house at night and called him. After not getting any response from Mukul, he informed locals and the police. Later, police entered Mukul's house and recovered his body.
Shibganj Police Station OC Deepak Kumar Das said injury marks were found on the neck of the deceased. The body will be sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The exact cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report.
