Former Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station OC Golam Sarwar has been sent to jail in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Mymensingh District and Sessions Judge Helal Uddin denied his bail application and directed to send him to jail on Wednesday.

Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Sanjeev Sarkar confirmed the matter and said that on May 30, Deputy Director of Mymensingh Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Ramprasad filed four separate cases alleging illegal acquisition of assets worth Tk 3,00,45,354. OC Golam Sarwar and his three sons Enamul Haque, Nazmul Haque and Manjurul Haque were accused in the case.

In that case, OC Golam Sarwar and his son Enamul Haque appeared before the court on Wednesday afternoon and applied for bail. At that time, the judge rejected the bail application of OC Golam Sarwar and ordered to send him to jail. However, the court granted bail to his son Enamul Haque.
