Microbus crashes into tea shop, 2 killed

Two people were killed and three others injured when a microbus rammed into a roadside tea shop in Laksham, Cumilla on Tuesday morning. 

The deceased were identified as microbus passenger Jamal Uddin, son of late Haresh Miah of Banglabazar area under​​Begumganj police station of Noakhali; and tea employee shop Zakir Hossain, son of Chan Miah of Polaiya area of Laksam. 

Kaiyum Uddin Chowdhury, in-charge inspector of Laksam Crossing Outpost of Mainamati Highway Police Station, confirmed the information. 

Three people, including the driver injured in the accident, have been admitted to different hospitals in Laksam and Cumilla. 

Kaiyum Uddin Chowdhury said a microbus with three passengers was heading towards Noakhali from Cumilla around 9:00 am. When it reach Polaiya area, the microbus rammed into a roadside tea shop as its driver lost control over the steering. Two people were killed on the spot and three others injured. The condition of the injured is also critical.
