Pickup-CNG collision leaves 6 dead in Munshiganj

At least six youths were killed in a head-on collision between a pickup van and CNG-run autorickshaw on the Nimtali Hasara Highway in Munshiganj. Among the dead are 3 from Chandpur and 3 from Bikrampur area of ​​Munshiganj.

The incident took place around 1:15 pm on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Samad Ghazi, the only son of Enayet Ullah Ghazi of Kalmatar Gazi Bari of Ichli area of Chandpur ​​Sadar upazila, Ahad son of Abul Kalam of Pallibidut area, and Jihad of the same area. Another friend's from Bikrampur of Munshiganj. The other two dead are the driver of the CNG and a passenger. 
 
Samad's brother Md. Rubel said that 4 friends left home at night by CNG to visit Padma Bridge. When they reached Nimtali Hasara Highway in Munshiganj their vehicle collided with a pickup leaving the six dead on the spot.

The bodies have been handed over to the families of the deceased without an autopsy.
