A driver was killed when his microbus fell into a ditch in Cumilla's Chauddagram Upazila. The accident took place in Dhanusora area on ​​the Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 7:30 am on Friday (May 13). 

The deceased was identified as Jahangir Hossain, son of late Rafiqul Islam of Chhupua village in Nangalkot. 

Citing locals, Mia Bazar Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Manjurul Haque Akand said a Dhaka-bound microbus fell into a ditch on the side of the highway in Dhanusora area as its driver lost control over the steering around 7:30 am. 

Driver Jahangir Hossain was seriously injured in the incident. Later, he was taken to Chauddagram Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared him dead. 

The body has been brought to the police station. After the legal process, it will be handed over to relatives.
