Teenager`s body found who drowned in front of parents

The body of the teenager have been found after 43 hours of disappearance who drowned in the river Jamuna while roaming with his parents.

The incident took place in Sariakandi upazila of Bogura. The missing teenager's name is Mug Ali Chhota. 

A team of divers from Rajshahi recovered his body from Charbatia point of Jamuna around 12:30 pm on Monday. 

Earlier, the teenager went missing on the other side of the river at around 5:30 pm on Saturday. His whereabouts were not found even after searching in the Jamuna at that time.

Mug Ali, 13, is the son of Mohammad Ali of Jaleswaritala in Bogura. He was a 7th class student of Bogura Biam Model School and College.

It is learned that Mug Ali came to visit Jamuna river with his parents on Saturday afternoon. They boarded a boat from Kalitala Ghat on the other side. After reaching there, Mug Ali took a bath in the river. Shortly afterward, he sank into the Jamuna in front of his parents.

That evening a fire service team arrived and began the rescue operation. But no trace of the missing teenager was found. Later the Rajshahi diving team was informed. They came and searched in the river from Sunday and recovered Mug Ali's body today.

Confirming the recovery of the body, Sariakandi Fire Service and Civil Defense fighter Rabiul Islam said the body has been handed over to the family.
