Massive fire at Ashulia jhut godown

A terrible fire broke out at a jhut godown in Ashulia, Savar, near Dhaka. Three units of the fire service brought the blaze under control after about one and a half-hour effort.

The fire broke out at around 1pm on Monday at the Jhut godown owned by Murad near Ajmeri Plaza in Bypil area of ​​Ashulia.

It is learned that after the fire broke out, the locals tried to extinguish it themselves and informed the fire service. Upon receiving the news, three units of DEPZ Fire Service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after one and half hours effort.

Raisuzzaman, a warehouse inspector at the DEPZ Fire Service, said the fire was brought under control after an hour-and-a-half effort by three units. Initially, the onset and extent of the damage was not known.
