With the help of Rice Transplanter, a modern agricultural machine, planting of paddy saplings has started in Fulgazi of Feni. With this, a farmer’s both time and money will be saved.

The Department of Agriculture inaugurated the planting of saplings on the land of farmer Feroz Ahmed of South Sreepur village in Fulgazi Sadar UP on Monday.

According to the concerned sources, when the planting of paddy saplings starts every year, the farmers are in trouble due to the “labor crisis”, however, with the help of Rice Transplanter, the time and cost of planting saplings have been less.

Earlier, planting saplings per bigha would cost Tk 3000 for at least 6 workers per day. But with this machine, it is possible to plant saplings in 1 bigha of land in 1 hour, cost less than Tk 2000.

Tariq Mahmudul Islam, deputy director of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Feni, said that paddy saplings can be easily planted with the help of this Rice Transplanter. This will save both time and money for a farmer.
