Naogaon road crush death toll soars 4

Another two motorcycle riders died at the accident at Dhamairhat in Naogaon. Two among the four riders were killed on the spot of the accident.
The accident took place while a truck hit them while the four were coming home by a motorcycle. Two died on the spot at the incident. Two other passengers of the same motorcycle were severely injured and taken to the hospital in the incident.
The accident took place on Dhamairhat-Joypurhat road in Haritokidanga Bazar area of the upazila around 9pm on Sunday (January 23).
The deceased were identified as Abu Sufian, son of Golzar Hossain of Nanaich village and Abdus Salam son of Mozzammel Haque of the same village. The injured were identified as Minhazul of Jahanpur village and Shajol of the same village. Later, another two Sajol Hossain and Minhaz Hossain also died in Rajshahi Medical Collage.
According to eyewitnesses, all the victims are vegetable traders. On Sunday, there was a hut in Dhamairhat Upazila Sadar Bazar. They were returning home on a motorbike after selling goods at the market as they stayed in the same area. At around 9 pm, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle when it reached Haritokidanga Bazar area on the Joypurhat-Dhamairhat regional highway from Dhamairhat Bazar.
Two people died on the spot. After rescuing the two injured, the locals admitted them to Dhamairhat Upazila Health Complex. As their condition was critical, the doctor referred them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital with first aid.
Dhamairhat Police Station OC KM Rakibul Huda confirmed the incident, saying the four were returning home from Dhamairhat Bazar on the same motorcycle. Two bodies have been recovered in the accident. Rest two injured were undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. They also died later.
