Ministry gives 75 bicycles to village cops in Dhamairhat

Bicycles distributed among 75 village police members of 8 unions of Dhamairhat upazila of Naogaon
The Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives has provided bicycles to 75 village police personnel to speed up the activities of the village police in Dhamairhat, Naogaon.
These bicycles were distributed at the Upazila Parishad premises at 11 am on Saturday (January 22) by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Md. Shahiduzzaman Sarkar.
Upazila Executive Officer Ganopoti Roy, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Chibbir Ahmed, joint general secretary of the Awami League and chairman of the Umar Union Md. Obaidul Haque Sarkar, former chairman Kamruzzaman, Upazila Ansar and VDP officer Mst. Hafza Khatun Ila, Awami League leader Anju Ara and others were present at the event held by Dhamairhat Upazila administration.
Ganapati Roy, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, said that the bicycles were distributed in 8 unions of Dhamairhat Upazila with the aim to speed up the activities of the village police with the funding of the Ministry of Local Government.
Earlier, the district and upazila administration and local government ministries distributed bicycles among 70 village policemen in Manda upazila of Naogaon on January 4 this year, 64 in Raninagar upazila on January 3, 67 in Madan upazila of Netrokona and 91 in Purbodhola upazila of Netrokona on January 16 this year.
