Armed Police Battalion (APBN) has detained four Rohingyas in separate raids at Teknaf in Cox's Bazar on Monday. They were arrested from Unchiprang and Alikhali camp areas of the upazila.

The detained are Shamsul Alam, son of late Mohammad, resident of Alikhali Camp, Block-D / 20, House-80, FCN-289622 and Unchiprang 22 Camp, Block-A/5, House-1016,  on Monday, Yasin, son of Nur Mohammad, house-241, FCN-249367, resident Nabi Ullah,  resident of FCN-402595, Block C2, son of Iman Hossain and Md. Salim son of late Mohammad Hossain resident of block-B/4, house-1518, FCN-246939.

This information was confirmed by Armed Police Battalion (APBN)-16 Commander SP Mohammad Tariqul Islam.

He said APBN raided the Camp-25 area on Monday afternoon on the basis of secret information. Rohingya terrorist Shamsul Alam was arrested while fleeing after sensing the presence of police. Arrested Shamsul Alam is a Rohingya drug dealer, an armed terrorist and an active member of a kidnapper group. There are several cases against him in Teknaf police station.

On the other hand, on the same day at noon, on the basis of secret information, a team of APBN police conducted a raid on the camp at Hoiykong UP Unchiprang 22 and arrested three Rohingyas on suspicion of robbery.

He added that the arrested Rohingyas have been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for taking legal action against them.
