Head of ARSA`s brother detained from Rohingya camp

APBN (Armed Police Battalion) has detained a man named Shah Ali, brother of Ataullah Abu Jununi, the head of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA). Weapons and drugs were recovered from him at that time.
He was detained from a Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar. APBN-14 captain SP Naimul Haque confirmed the information on Sunday morning.
Naimul Haque said members of the Armed police battalion got informed that Shah Ali, the brother of Ataullah Abu Jununi, the head of Myanmar's armed terrorist group ARSA, had taken up positions in the Rohingya camp. He was later arrested on the basis of this information.
He added that Shah Ali was being questioned after his arrest. Attempts are being made to find out how and when he has been in the camp.
11 lakh Rohingyas took refuge in Bangladesh after being deported from Myanmar. Rohingyas have taken shelter in Bangladesh. ARSA have been involved in various misdeeds in these camps from the very beginning.
Rohingya repatriation leader Muhibullah was killed in a brushfire at the Rohingya Kutupalong camp on September 29 last year. All those involved in his murder are accused of being members of ARSA. From time to time, members of the law enforcement forces carry out various operations in the camps to catch them.
