Youth died by COVID at RMCH

A young man had died at the COVID unit of Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital in the last 24 hours.
The man died between 8am on Saturday and 8am on Sunday, said Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, director of RMCH.
He said a patient died of COVID infection at RMC Hospital in 24 hours. The patient who died in the ICU of the hospital is between 11 and 20 years of age. He is a resident of Pabna district.
Meanwhile, 33 patients were admitted in the 104-bed RMC COVID unit till 9 am on Sunday. Even a day ago this number was 31 people. At present, 22 patients from Rajshahi, three from Chapainawabganj, four from Naogaon and four from Natore are hospitalized.
There are 11 people admitted to the hospital with COVID. There are 18 people admitted with COVID symptoms. COVID was not detected in six samples. Besides, eight people have been admitted in the last 24 hours. On this day, six people returned home after recovering.
Earlier, 83 samples were tested at RMC Hospital Lab on Saturday. 11 people had been detected COVID positive in this. On the same day, samples of 145 people were tested in RMC Lab and 11 people were detected COVID positive. Everyone identified as COVID infected are residents of Rajshahi. Coronavirus detection rate in Rajshahi is 9.65 percent as per the test.
