Naval police have recovered the body of one and a half-year-old child Tasfia on Tuesday, seven days after she went missing in a trawler capsize in the Dhaleshwari river in Narayanganj.

The body was recovered from the river bank at Dharmaganj on Tuesday morning. With this, the bodies of all 10 missing people were recovered.

Earlier, on the fifth (Sunday) and sixth (Monday) day, the bodies of nine people, including the remaining three members of Tasfia's family, were recovered and handed over to relatives.

The fire service announced the end of the rescue operation after recovering the Tasfia's body.

Tasfia was the daughter of Tasnim, who also died in the trawler capsize. Earlier, the bodies of Tasfia's grandmother Jasmine Begum, mother Tasnim and brother Tanim were recovered.

Confirming the information, Rifat Ferdous, chief investigator of the accident and Sadar upazila nirbahi officer, said the body of the child was found floating on the river bank in Dharmaganj in the morning.
