6 bodies found floating in Buriganga after 5 days

The bodies of six people including mother and daughter have been found floating on Sunday, five days after they went missing in a trawler capsize in the Buriganga river at Dharmaganj area in Narayanganj Sadar Upazila.
In a rescue operation from Sunday morning to evening, the bodies were recovered.
The deceased have been identified as Jasmine Akhter, 35, wife of Sohail Miah of Charmadhyanagar area of Fatullah and her eldest daughter Tasmin Akhter, 20, college student Sabbir Ahmed, 18, son of Raju Sardar of Char Baktabali of Fatullah, Josna Begum, 33, daughter of Abdul Jalil of Char Baktabali's Hajipara, Abdul Motaleb, 42, son of Rekmat Ali of Uttar Gopal Nagar of Fatullah, and Awlad Hossain, 30, son of late Akkas Ali of Char Baktabali.
Earlier on January 5, 10 people went missing after a trawler sank in the Dhaleshwari river in Fatullah. The trawler carrying at least 30 passengers sank in the river after being hit by a launch named MV Farhan-6. Most of the passengers were able to swim to shore, but 10 people were not found.
Confirming the information, Abdullah Al Arefin, Narayanganj Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense, said the bodies were handed over to their families.
