COVID cases crossed 100 in Ctg

The number of COVID cases have crossed 100 in the last day in the port city Chattagram. 

In the last 24 hours, 104 people have been identified COVID positive in Chattagram. One died at the same time. Civil Surgeon Mohammad Elias Chowdhury confirmed the information on Sunday morning.

He said that 1,765 samples were tested in the last 24 hours in Chattagram University, BITID, Chattagram Medical College, Chattagram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Antigen Test, Imperial Hospital, Chevron Lab, Chattagram Maternal and Child Hospital, RTL, Medical Center Hospital, Epic Health Care and Asian Specialized Hospital At the Shah Amanat International Airport. Among  these, COVID virus was found in the bodies of 104 people.

According to the test, the detection rate is 5.89 percent. Which was 4.96 percent in the previous 24 hours. Among the victims six are from the city, four from Sitakundo, three from Fatikchari, two from Raozan, two from Hathazari, two from Satkania, two from Anwara and one from Bashkhali.

Earlier, the Civil Surgeon's Office had identified 76 people on Saturday, 82 on Friday, 53 on Thursday, 53 on Wednesday, 35 on Tuesday and 23 on Monday.

According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, 1,03,084 people have been infected with COVID in Chattagram district so far. Among them 74,663 people are from the city and 28,421 are from the upazila level. Besides, one thousand 334 people died. Among them, 724 are from the city and 610 from the upazila.

On April 3, 2020, the first COVID patient was identified in Chattagram. Then on April 9, the first person died from the virus.
