Bangladeshi youth killed in BSF shootout

A Bangladeshi national was shot to death by India's Border Security Force (BSF) firing on the Hapania border in Sapahar, Naogaon.
The incident took place near 1S (Main Pillar) of Pillar No-236 on the Hapania border of the Upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Maqbul Hossain alias Sanaullah, 30, the son of Alauddin of Krishnasda Purbapara village in Goala union of the Upazila.
According to local sources, some cattle traders including Maqbul Hossain entered India on Friday night through Krishnasda area of Hapania border to bring cattle. When they were trying to enter Bangladesh on Saturday morning with cows, the patrolling jawans of Pannapur 69 BSF in India fired on them.
Maqbul Hossain died on the spot after being shot. The body was found lying on barbed wire fences in the Indian territory of No-Man's Land.
Confirming the information, 16 BGB Hampania Camp Commander Abdul Aziz said a message had been sent to the Pannapur camp in India for a flag meeting.
