Pickup-CNG collsion in Madhupur: Police identify 3 dead

The identities of the three killed and one injured in the incident of pickup-CNG collsion in Madhupur, Tangail was found, however, the identity of another injured did not find.

The deceased were identified as – Sharmin Akhter, wife of Md. Saydur Rahman of Merurchar village of Dewanganj upazila in Jamalpur, her daughter Sohagi Akhter, and Russell Mia, son of Minar Uddin of Sreebardi upazila in Sherpur.

The injured was identified as Rehena, a resident of Dinajpur’s Birganj upazila. Police are working to find the identity of another injured.

Earlier, the accident took place at Rupali Filling Station adjacent to the Madhupur Bus Stand on Madhupur-Jamlapur Regional Road at around 7 am on Friday.

Confirming the matter, Madhupur Police station OC Tarique Kamal said a CNG-autorickshaw carrying five passengers was going to Sherpur from Madhupur in the morning. It collided with a pickup coming from the Dhanbari direction near Rupali Filling Station. Three CNG passengers including mother-daughter and two injured on the spot.

Upon receiving news, police rescued two people to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. Besides, police recovered the bodies of the victims and took them to the police station.
