4 Rohingyas detained with arms in Bandarban

RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) has detained four Rohingyas with weapons and ammunition from Naikhongchari of Bandarban on Friday morning.

The detainees were arrested in a raid in the deep forest of Tumbrur in Ghumdhum of the upazila. This information was confirmed by  the RAB-15 Deputy Commander of Cox's Bazar Tanvir Hasan in the morning. 

The four detained are: Mohammad Noor, son of Ashuk Zaman, Nazimullah, son of Imam Hossain, residents of Ukhia Kutupalong Camp-1, Block-A and Mohammad Aman Ullah, son of Chaidul Islam and Md. Khairul Amin son of Abdur Sabur from Block-F of Thaingkhali Camp-13.

RAB official Tanvir Hasan said the four were arrested in the early hours of the morning in the deep forest of Ghumdhum. Several ammunition, including two foreign pistols and six domestic weapons, were recovered from the spot. Further legal action is being taken against the detainees.

Earlier, APBN detained five Rohingyas with home-made weapons from Jadimura camp in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar on Wednesday afternoon. They were detained while preparing for the robbery. They are Rohingya robbers listed by the police headquarters. Teknaf-16 Armed Police Battalion Commander (SP) Tariqul Islam Tariq said four Ramdas of different sizes were recovered from them.
