Ctg encounters COVID death after 22 days

Ctg have encountered COVID death after 22 days. 53 have been identified COVID positive in Chattogram in the last 24 hours.

Before that, Chattogram passed 22 days without death in COVID. Civil Surgeon Mohammad Elias Chowdhury confirmed the information on Thursday morning.

He said that in the last 24 hours, Chattogram University, BITID, Chattogram Medical College, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Antigen Test, Imperial Hospital, Chevron Lab, RTL, Medical Center Hospital, Epic Health Care, Asian Specialized Hospital and Shah Amanat International Airport. Samples of 750 people have been tested. COVID was found in the bodies of 53 people of them. 

According to the test, the detection rate is 3.02 percent. Which was 3.35 percent in the previous 24 hours. Among the infected 48 are from the city, two from Anwar, two from Mirsorai and one from Rangunia.

Earlier, the Civil Surgeon's Office had identified 53 COVID on Wednesday, 35 on Tuesday, 23 on Monday, 16 on Sunday and nine on Saturday.

According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, 74,430 people in the city and 28,392 people at the upazila level in Chattorgam district have so far contracted 1,02,822 people. Besides, 1,333 people died. 723 are from the city and 610 from the upazila among them.

On April 3, 2020, the first COVID patient was identified in Chattogram. Then on April 9, the first person died from the virus.
