Seven houses has been burnt at Nazirhaat at Fatikchori in Chattagram. No casualties were reported in the case.

The incident took place at Amir Ali Shah's house in Ward No. 8 of the municipal headquarters on Wednesday night.

Mohammad Ali, the councilor in Ward no 8 of the municipality, said the Fatikchori Fire Service was notified immediately after the fire broke out. They rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. However, seven houses were burnt down

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. The victims have claimed that there was a loss of Tk 12 lakh.

Earlier, a fire broke out in a moving private car in Chattogram city port. The fire service brought the fire under control after half an hour. The incident took place in the area of ​​Customs Bridge last Tuesday evening. However, no casualties were reported.

Confirming the matter, Rubel Alam, the senior station officer of Bandar Fire Service Station, said, 'After receiving the news, two of our vehicles reached the spot.' They tried for about half an hour to bring the fire under control. The fire was initially thought to have started from a car battery cable.

No casualties were reported as the passengers got down quickly after seeing the fire. However, an estimated loss of Tk 12 lakh has been incurred.

Besides, fire broke out in two godowns in Chattogram on December 29. The fire was brought under control through the efforts of three units of the fire service. A fire broke out at two godowns in Chorpara area of ​​Potenga on Wednesday afternoon.
