Ballot papers did not reach 5 centers in Manikganj due to dense fog

Ballot papers have not reached yet in 5 centers of Manikganj due to for dense fog.

Voting of fifth phase is going on in 21 unions of Daulatpur and Horirampur upazilas of Manikganj. Ballot papers have not yet reached in 5 centers of these of Baghutia Union of Daulatpur Upazila.

Ballot papers did not reach the centers till 10 am on Wednesday. Voters are waiting at the polling station.

District Election Officer Sheikh Mohammad Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter and said that due to heavy fog in the morning, the trawlers carrying ballot papers of those centers lost their direction and got stuck in the middle of the river. Another trawler has been sent to rescue it. Voters will be able to cast their votes within the stipulated time after the ballot papers arrive.
