Businessman hacked to death in Chakaria

A businessman was hacked to death by miscreants with sharp weapons at Chakaria Upazila in Cox's Bazar. The miscreants also looted his shop. 

The incident took place in the High School Road area of ​​Ward No 2 of the municipal town around 10:30 pm on Monday. 

The deceased was identified as Latif Ullah, 36, the son of Elias Saudagar of Sufi Para, Ward No 7, Adhunagar Union, Lohagara Upazila, Chattogram.

According to the locals, Latif Ullah has a shop of variety of products including soft drinks on the roadside of high school. When he was closing his shop around 10:30 pm on Monday, a group of three or four terrorists came and stabbed him with sharp weapons and fled. Later, the locals rescued and took Latif Ullah to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared him dead.

Witnesses said that the terrorists also looted money from the shop. 

Confirming the information, OC of Chakaria Police Station Osman Gani said that on information, police immediately rushed to the spot and recovered a sharp weapon, which was used in the murder.
