A man was killed and eight others injured in a clash at a wedding party at a Rohingya camp in Ukhiya Upazila of Cox's Bazar.

The incident took place in the C block of Balukhali Rohingya camp in Ukhiya on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Md Belal, uncle of the groom. The injured included Abdur Rahman, Haresur Rahman, Anwar Sadeq and the groom's father Md. Arif.

APBN (Armed Police Battalion) has arrested two people including the bride's cousin in the incident.

Armed Police Battalion-8 Commander SP Shihab Kaiser Khan said that the bride named Khaleda Bibi was having an affair with the groom Idris. Khaleda fled to Idris's house four days ago as her family didn't accept the affair.

Later, they couple tied the knot with the consent of the groom's family. Getting agitated after hearing about their marriage, the bride's family attacked the groom's house at late night.
