A court in Chuadanga has ordered to send two people – Bikash and his wife Rehena Khatun – to jail in a case lodged by a septuagenarian father as he complained that his two sons and daughters-in-law used to torture him and his wife.

Earlier on Thursday, Police arrested Bikash and Rehena from the Lakshmipur area in Jibannagar upazila on Thursday. On that day, the court ordered to send them to jail when they were taken to court in Chuadanga.

According to the lawsuit, Ruhul Amin’s sons Bikash and Alamin do not look after their elderly parents, as a result, they have been living inhumane life for a long time.

Father Ruhul Amin said, “My two sons and their wives beat me when I asked for money for food. After the beating, I reported the matter to the Darshana police station. Later, I filed a case against my two sons and daughters-in-law.”

Darshana Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) AHM Lutful Kabir said a case was registered against five people, including their two sons and two daughters-in-law, after hearing about the incident. Later, the court ordered to send them to jail.
